Peter Doley (Born 1907)

Peter Doley, born in New Haven, Connecticut, studied at Pratt Institute, Boston University, and the Rhode Island School of Design. His teachers included Gustave Cimiotti and Charles Daniel Hubbard. he was a member of and exhibited at the Providence Art Club and the Providence Watercolor Club. He also exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. His works are found at the Rhode Island State College and the Nathaniel Greene School. He executed a mural for St. Michael’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut. For a number of years he taught art in the public schools of Providence.
